Grand Plaza Hotel & Congress Center

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the hotel’s central location — just a short walk to Ljubljana’s vibrant center with its cafes and restaurants. Our suite was large, clean, and offered an amazing view of the castle and the city. Breakfast was excellent with a generous variety of fresh options. Overall, the location and comfort were great, but a few service details could be improved.

The room was great and super spacious, it is located within walking distance to the old town but also easy to reach by car. The staff was friendly and some things got handled incredibly quick and easy. Breakfast buffet has a great selection, you just need to be patient since refills sometimes take a few minutes.

The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable, but what made our stay truly special was the outstanding service from Matves (the kind gentleman with a beard). From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make our honeymoon memorable. He surprised us with a free room upgrade, which made our stay even more romantic. On top of that, he helped us plan and book an unforgettable day trip, taking care of every little detail. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality – he made us feel not just welcome, but truly cared for. We’ll definitely come back again, not just for the hotel, but because people like Matves make it feel like home away from home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Congress Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure a perfect stay. From the elegant design to the exceptional amenities, everything exceeded my expectations. One highlight of my stay was the fabulous coffee—truly some of the best I've had. The overall ambiance of the hotel is both luxurious and welcoming, making it an ideal place to relax or get work done. The staff were attentive and professional, contributing to the overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Congress Centre to anyone visiting Ljubljana. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

The hotel is very popular with locals and travelers. The weekend (Aug 16-18) was fully booked and the staff were still on top of everything. Breakfast was nice, there was a good spread, and plenty of seating available. The room was spacious and clean. The walls were thick and soundproofed. It was nice to not hear people in the hallway, nor next door. The location of the hotel was convenient. Lads of places to eat in the area and the "old town" was just a 10 minute walk down the road. The ARE pet friendly, and the dogs were allowed at breakfast, as long as they were well behaved.
